One last hike in late summer before it really starts to feel like winter is on its way. Meals typically always taste better on the trail, but these small batch homestyle meals from Bowl & Kettle offered a uniquely savory experience that felt at odds with our rugged and wild landscape. As the shadows lengthened and deepened on the fissures and features of the mountains, we laughed and let our imagination pick out the objects we saw across the rocky faces. A cool evening breeze beckoned us to crawl into the tent as we listened to the sounds of the mountains.

Hard to believe that this summer is already coming to a close.
