Livingston

Standing on top of Big Mountain in Whitefish Montana I took a moment to catch my breath after having ascended the mountain on my backcountry skis. Off in the distance I watched the sunset paint the Livingston Range in Glacier National Park a subtle pink while standing alone in silence among the frozen trees. Afterwards, in the gathering darkness and dropping temperatures, I clipped into my ski bindings and used my headlamp to guide me down the trails.
