The Spirit of the Outdoor Program
A liberal arts college in the high desert of New Mexico with fewer than 450 undergraduate students wanted to promote the outdoor program.
St. John’s College has a unique academic approach with no specific majors, and the outdoor program is seen as a way to supplement the rigor of the classroom with focused trips planned across the southwestern United States. I was invited along both as a certified guide and photographer to capture the spirit of the trips and give the students a chance to push themselves in new and exciting places.
